The Daily Corporate Redemption
Slavery
I genuinely think that corporate sucks, or maybe I am not doing it right. In my past 1.5 years of corporate slavery, I have not seen two things that I used to see often. I could not, as my office timing was a major hurdle.
Recently in my office, while I was not doing anything as I had completed my daily dance of online campaign running and posting some developing shit online, I asked myself, damn dude, I haven't done it for a while now, I did it in July 2024 last time.
Though I can do one thing every morning, I choose not to or sleep very late at night. I usually wake up at 8. When I left the office at 7:30 in the evening, I walked to the Rajiv Chowk metro station gate number 7, which was nearly 900m to 1km away. It was a nice walk in the evening, dodging other people and flying like a housefly to save myself from hitting them, eating patties near the Pallika Bazar, and thinking of Imtiaz Ali's character eating food like just another guy standing alone.
And muttering, "Duniya mein itna uljha khud se choota hu," this is literally me. While entering the metro station, I always play songs that are saved offline on my phone due to the internet, which shuts down under the subway. The queue of security is very long, and people throw themselves and their bags into the checking machines; I always think, do they even check properly, or are people just scared of doing some shit here. Maybe they are retarted or tired to take some step further to do something shitty as they want to reach an untidy home.
Going towards their destinations, they walk down the aisle of suffocation and death; they enter the casket where there are 100+ bees ( people ) inside, pushing each other, abusing, shouting, and doing zzzzzzzzz.
That is a long journey, just checking up on the internet and abusing the signals. Ah, I cannot watch the reel of Virat Kohli's Melbourne innings of 82 against Pakistan. Yeah, he is still the greatest of all. Although, he is not scoring like that anymore.
Then comes the doom worse than Rajiv Chowk; oh man, this is a more prominent intersection than that: 100s of people outside just waiting to enter this moving casket of death. Just one more station for me. I will be out and free.
Seeking the exit, I sought inside of myself. I had to do that again to reach my home. I still have to fly like a housefly to seek redemption from the metro to home. Taking the exit, I waited for others to fly by. Suddenly, I remembered those two things; I was thinking at the office.
I looked upon the sky, and I sought the sun. I said sorry to myself for being unable to see my most loved things this time again and for the past 455 days.
I seek you Sunrise and Sunset
